Kentrol 54 Inch Front Bumper without Holes

Bumpers are shields made from plastic, rubber, aluminum or steel that are mounted on the front of a motor vehicle.  This one in particular is made from steel.  When collisions occur at low rates of speed, the Kentrol 54 Inch front bumper will absorb the shock from the collision in order to reduce or even prevent damage to your rig.  Some bumpers use brackets or other types of energy absorbers while others use a cushioning material made from foam.

You may have noticed that the bumper on a Jeep is a bit higher than one on a regular passenger car.  This is to allow for better ground clearance or steeper approach and departure angles when they are driven over grades that are steep or when they are off road and need more clearance for large rocks, tree stumps and other obstacles.

Some states do regulate the height of the bumper.  Check with your state or local agency that is responsible for the motor vehicle regulations to see if this applies to you.

The 54 inch front bumper without holes actually does have holes that have been pre – drilled for the license plate.  In order to mount this bumper in the rear of your Jeep, you will also need to purchase the CJ mounting bracket.  This bumper has been forged from stainless steel grade 304.
