Kentrol Hinges

Wow!  Do you know how many hinges are used on a Jeep?  I would bet not.  Of course you know about door hinges, tailgate and hood hinges, but what about windshield hinges, lift gate hinges and mirror hinges?  Honestly though, unless you are a Jeep parts enthusiast, chances are that you have probably not given vehicle hinges too much thought.

Are they an important part of your vehicle?  Of course they are.  Without hinges, doors would not open, tailgates would not lift or lower, hoods would not open or close…in essence, you would have a big, expensive metal bow that you could not do anything with if we did not have the hinges to get in and out of it and service the engine to make it go.

Windshield

Have you ever heard of such a thing?  If so, skip down.  If not, read on.  A windshield hinge is a part that you mount on your windshield.  Once it is mounted, you can then mount auxiliary lights to the hinge and when they are mounted to the hinge, you can turn them to light up whatever you want.  These can run anywhere from $100 to over $500 depending on what type you choose.

Tailgate

Everyone should know what a tailgate hinge is for.  What is the point of having a tailgate if you can’t raise or lower it?  Tailgate hinges fulfill that need.  Kentrol tailgate hinges are made from stainless steel and are available in the $50 - $250 price range.  They also offer a fiberglass body tub for a 76 – 83 CJ that includes the tailgate and hinges.

Hardtop Lift gate

These hinges are available WITH the fiberglass hardtop lift gate.  This is only available for 1966 – 1977 Ford Broncos.  It is available to you at the ultra-affordable price of $555.

Front End

These are also known as hood hinges and are available in stainless steel.  This is a vital, though small, part of your vehicle as without them you would not be able to service your engine.  Kentrol front end hinges are available to you from $43 on up to about $150.  They are also offered as part of a front end for a 1966 – 1977 Ford Bronco…of course the price for this is substantially more.

Door

If you like getting into your Jeep by way of the door, then you definitely need door hinges.  You can get these stainless steel hinges from $42 on up to almost $500 depending on which style and how many you need.
